Ultimate Chocolate Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1¾ cups of white sugar
02 - 2 cups plain flour
03 - ¾ cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
04 - 1 tsp baking soda
05 - 2 tsp baking powder
06 - ½ tsp table salt
07 - ½ cup cooking oil
08 - 1 cup whole milk
09 - 2 teaspoons vanilla
10 - 2 large eggs
11 - 1 cup hot water

→ Chocolate Icing Mix

12 - ½ cup unsweetened cocoa
13 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla
14 - 1 cup of room-temperature butter
15 - ½ cup thick cream
16 - 3½ cups powdered sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Coat two 9-inch cake tins with grease and lay parchment paper inside.
02 - In a big mixing bowl, stir together sugar, cocoa powder, salt, flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
03 - Drop in the milk, eggs, vanilla, and oil. Stir till it's smooth. Toss the hot water in last—it will make the mix runny.
04 - Split the mix between the tins. Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes, till a toothpick in the middle comes out clean.
05 - Cool the cakes for 10 minutes in their pans, then move them onto a rack to finish cooling.
06 - Whip the butter until it’s light. Gently mix in the powdered sugar, cream, cocoa powder, and vanilla until smooth.
07 - Spread frosting on one layer, stack the second layer, and coat the cake all over with more frosting.
