Lemon Treat Glaze (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Batter for Madeleines

01 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
02 - 1 tablespoon lemon zest
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 1/4 cup whole milk
05 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
06 - Pinch of salt
07 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
08 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
09 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar

→ Lemon Glaze

10 - 2 tablespoons lemon juice
11 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Coat a madeleine pan with grease and dust it lightly with flour.
02 - In a big bowl, beat sugar and eggs together until it looks thick and light. Stir in melted butter, vanilla, lemon zest, and milk gently.
03 - Mix the flour, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl until combined.
04 - Carefully combine the wet ingredients with the dry, making sure not to overmix.
05 - Add the batter into the molds, filling each spot about three-quarters of the way full.
06 - Pop the pan in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. They’re done when golden and a toothpick slides out clean.
07 - Leave them in the pan for a bit, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
08 - Combine lemon juice and powdered sugar in a small bowl and stir until smooth.
09 - Drizzle the glaze over the cooled madeleines and let it set.
